A charcot foot is a foot with bone and joint damage that has led to a weakening of the bones, joints, and soft tissues in the foot. This rare condition affects persons with peripheral neuropathy.
Ingrown toenails are a common condition where the corners of the nail dig painfully into the toe leading to swelling, pain, inflammation or redness, and infection. These should be treated quickly to prevent further infection.
Plantar fasciitis is a common cause of heel pain that is caused by too much stress on the foot from activity and/or improperly fitting shoes.
Plantar warts are warts on the sole of the foot that can become quite painful. These should not be treated at home as it can cause damage to the surrounding tissue and increase the risk of spreading the virus.
